定义和含义

在集合[math]\displaystyle{ X }[/math]和集合[math]\displaystyle{ Y }[/math]之间，存在着一个这样的[math]\displaystyle{ f(\cdot) }[/math]，任意取一个[math]\displaystyle{ X }[/math]中的元素[math]\displaystyle{ x }[/math]，必然有且只有一个[math]\displaystyle{ Y }[/math]中的元素[math]\displaystyle{ y }[/math]使得[math]\displaystyle{ f(x)=y }[/math]。也就是说，[math]\displaystyle{ f(\cdot) }[/math]这个操作使得[math]\displaystyle{ x }[/math]成了[math]\displaystyle{ y }[/math]。
